Qualify for the World Series of Poker |
World Series of Poker Qualifiers
The World Series of Poker is the "big show" for poker players. It defines the best of the best in the poker world. There are events starting at $1,000 buy-in up to the main event that is a $10,000 buy-in. Various forms of poker are played in the smaller buy-in events Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, Stud, Stud hi/lo, Razz, and 2-7 lowball. The events also range from limit, pot limit, and no limit. The main event is always no limit texas hold'em.
The 2005 World Series of Poker main event boasted a field of 5,619 players with a prize pool of $52,818,610. The winner Joe Hachem from Australia won $7,500,000. Prior to winning the World Series of Poker in 2005 Joe Hachem was considered a hobby poker player. The 2003 World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker and the 2004 World Series of Poker champion Greg Raymer were both hobby poker players prior to winning the main event.
A majority of players that play the main event of the World Series of Poker do not pay the whole $10,000 buy-in themselves. Most players qualify through smaller satellite tournaments that feed into the main event.

Qualifiers

Quarter Finals

Semi Finals
Sit & Go - $80+8 - 2 x $275 Grand Final entry coupons awarded and 3rd place receives a 2nd chance at the Semi Final level
MTT - from just $25+2.50. One Grand Final entry coupon awarded for every $275 of buy-ins.
Grand Finals
MTT - $250 + $25 buy-in and 1 x $12,500 WSOP package awarded for every 50 entries
Players may either buy in at their chosen level, or win their way up through the satellite levels using coupons for entry into the tournaments.
There are Sit & Go or Multi Table satellite tournaments available, both of which are available at the same levels and will accept the same satellite entry coupons.

Absolute Poker WSOP Qualifiers |
Absolute Poker is running sit and go tournaments and multi table tournaments qualifiers for a $11,000 World Series of Poker main event package.
WSOP Satellite Main Event
This $100 +8 tournament runs every Sunday at 8:30pm Eastern. For every 110 entrants in this tournament, one $11K WSOP 2006 entry package will be awarded. Entrants can win their way into this event, or may buy in directly.
Multi Table Tournaments
In WSOP $9 qualifiers 1 entry to the next WSOP Satellite Main Event will be awarded for every 12 players who enter the qualifier.
In WSOP $18 qualifiers 1 entry to the next WSOP Satellite Main Event will be awarded for every 6 players who enter the qualifier.
In $2 Satellites to our WSOP $18 Qualifiers, 1 entry to a specified WSOP $18 Qualifier will be awarded for every 10 players who enter the Satellite.
In $1 Satellites to our WSOP $9 Qualifiers, 1 entry to a specified WSOP $9 Qualifier will be awarded for every 10 players who enter the Satellite.
Single Table Tournaments
In WSOP $12 qualifiers 1 entry to the next WSOP Satellite Main Event will be awarded to the top finisher.
In WSOP $24 qualifiers 1 entry to the next WSOP Satellite Main Event will be awarded to the top 2 finishers.
In WSOP $36 qualifiers 1 entry to the next WSOP Satellite Main Event will be awarded to the top 3 finishers

SunPoker WSOP Qualifiers |
SunPoker World Series of Poker Package:
